New Heaven and Earth
Book of Revelation Chapter 21
Rev. 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
Rev. 21:2 “And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”
The first heaven and earth that will pass away will not be remembered or come into our minds anymore, and the sea “that is to be no more,” means there will be no more nations for the Great Whore to sit upon, for she will be no more.
Is. 65:17 “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.”
Rev. 21:3 “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”
Rev. 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Rev. 21:5 “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
Mat. 9:17 “Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine in new bottles, and both are preserved.”
This Scripture in Matthew shows a clear understanding now of what God was saying to us in His Words. The old wine was like the leaven that has been in the world to spoil, to corrupt and destroy man since he fell in the Garden and plunged earth, beast, and man into the curse of God. Now we get to see a New Heaven and Earth, for Christ has redeemed all things back, and the river of life flows freely within it.
Rev. 21:6 “And he said unto me, It is DONE, I am”Alpha and Omega,” the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”
“He that over cometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
All through the Bible, He has invited you unto the life of peace and contentment that only He can give. Don’t turn your back on Him. He is the only One who can wipe away all your tears and pain. What a beautiful picture God promises to give, if only you will drink from His cup, the one that will never run dry.
Rev. 21:9 “And there come unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”
Rev. 21:10 “And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,”
The “bride” will be all the saints from the beginning of time over seven thousand years, you and me, if you have accepted Christ. What a beautiful picture He paints with all His saints described as precious stones, and the twelve foundations of the city to be the twelve apostles of the Lamb, measuring fifteen hundred miles square, with walls 216 feet thick, and streets of pure gold, and twelve gates of pearl.
I believe this will be in the same area on earth where the garden of Eden was before, with four heads [seas] surrounding it, the same place where God came so long ago to dwell with man, and man with God, with the Tree of Life in the midst of it.
Rev. 21:22 “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.”
Rev. 21:23 “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”
Rev. 21:24 “And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it.”
Rev. 21:25 “And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.”
Rev. 21:26 “And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.”
Rev. 21:27 “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
