Seventh Seal

                   Seventh – Year

Book of Revelation Chapter 8:1-6

Rev. 8:1 “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”

Rev. 8:2 “And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.”

Rev. 8:3 “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.”

Rev. 8:4 “And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God out of the angel’s hand.”

Rev. 8:5 “And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightning, and an earthquake.”

Rev. 8:6 “And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

This seventh year is the year Christ and all the Saints in heaven have been waiting for; “The Lord’s Day”.  It has been longed for and spoken of in the Bible more than any other time in history.  This seventh year is where God will break and open the final Seal, the year He will redeem all of His beloved people and the entire world.  But first, He will pour out His wrath upon the earth like no other time before and all of the Saints in heaven will be watching: those who were taken at the beginning of these seven years, the ones under the altar, and those who ascended with Christ at the time of his resurrection.  I am sure this is why there will be silence in heaven one-half hour after He breaks and opens this final Seal.

DAY OF THE LORD (What Day is it?)

Before we continue on, let’s find it.  One of the first statements made by John in the book of Revelation was: “he was in the spirit on the Lord’s Day”, the first clue to this real life drama, and one of the most important ones.  What day will be the Lord’s Day?  To find what day it will be will help us to find all the clues to this mystery.  First of all, you will need to read Scriptures from the King James Bible.  If you get tired and do not understand, that’s okay.  Rest a while and come back.  I assure you the Holy Spirit will help you if you ask.  I had to do that quite often.  Now I know some of you don’t like reading the Bible, and some of you just don’t want to.  But if you want to understand and to know what you should know, ((Read)).  I don’t want anybody telling me “O”, if you had only told me” after the fact.

Zec. 14:1 “Behold the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.”

Zec. 14:7 “…it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night; but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.”

Zec. 14:8 “…in summer and winter it shall be.”

Notice how the first verse in Chapter 14 starts out by letting you know what it is going to talk about: “The Lord’s Day.”  It goes on and very descriptively fills in what will transpire on that day.  Notice how it lets you know it will not be a day to look forward to, but it must come for there to be an end to this drama.  Otherwise, life will go on and on into either damnation or into eternal life with no climax of evil or heaven free of Satan.

Did you notice in Zechariah 14, verses 7 & 8 how it stated the Day of the Lord will not be a day, but will be a year (in summer and winter it shall be)?  The Day of the Lord will be the seventh year of the seven years this play will perform.  To know for sure the Lord’s Day is really a year, let’s look at another Scripture to confirm it.  You will find it in the book of Ezekiel.  I will be using that Book frequently for information and with good reason.  So, let’s find out why.

Eze. 4:5 “For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.”

Eze. 4:6 “And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.”

In Chapter 2, God is telling Ezekiel to go speak to the House of Israel.  When the Word refers to a “House” it is speaking of a tribe of people.  Israel was made up of 12 tribes, named after 12 brothers.  Ten of the brothers were given designated areas which became the nation of Israel.  The other two brothers were given control over Jerusalem, the Holy City, which was called the House of Judah.  It may sound strange how Scriptures are written, but Ezekiel writes it as he sees it.  The Word was given to him mostly in visions and by him using words in symbolic ways.  (Words that tie themselves together with other writings of prophets and historians.)  He was to open his mouth and “eat” what God gave him.   The Word shows it was a roll of a book that was “sweet as honey” with writings within and without.

Eze. 2:9 “…lo, a roll of a book was therein;”

Eze. 2:10 “…and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.”

Rev. 5:1 “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”

Notice how the Scriptures in Ezekiel speak of the same thing written in the Book of Revelation.  At the time the law of Leviticus was in play during ancient times, whenever people lost their possessions or land for different  reasons, there was a procedure performed in the court system to assure them what they had lost could be redeemed.  It was entered into a document with writing on both sides, then shows that Ezekiel was to roll it into a tube, sealed with seven Seals and kept until a Redeemer paid the price and reclaimed it.  This is the Book of Revelation Ezekiel was to eat, a document with the seven Seals that Christ will reclaim as the Redeemer.  It then shows he was to lay on his right side for 40 days for the House of Judah.  Because of the people’s rebellion within the House of Judah at that time, he warned them he would not turn away from them anymore.  They will have tribulation again for another 40 days (years).

Ezekiel does not actually “eat” the book.  “Eat” is used as an illustration of what God wants you to put into your mind “by consuming it.”  After Ezekiel ate the roll, he was cautioned to speak only when God opened his mouth.  He was to lie on his left side for 390 days to bear the iniquity of the House of Israel.  After those days are fulfilled, which will not be until after these seven years take place; Scriptures tell of when Satan will be turned loose again, which will be at the end of the 1000 year millennium.  Now look closely at this next Scripture.  He is letting you know that days that fall within the 390 and the 40 at the end of the millennium are now to be changed to be years.

Eze. 4:6 “…I have appointed thee each day for a year.”

Now remember when you read “Day” as pertaining to the Lord’s Day, you are to change it to have the understanding God wants to show you.  It is a Year not a Day.  That year has not taken place as yet.  Most people who know Scriptures are not aware of what day is the Lord’s.  The last seven years of the 390 are the seven years this Beast will play out his role to the end.  There will be no other years left to fulfill the 390.  When Satan is turned loose again at the end of the Millennium it will be for 40 years.

II Peter 3:8 “One day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

The Scripture above has been inserted here because some of you who are knowledgeable of God’s Word will want to quote it.  The time period of the Millennium will be one thousand years.  It didn’t say the Lord’s Day would be a thousand years; it said one day with the Lord would be as a thousand years.  It will be important that you keep the different time frames separate to have the full understanding God wants you to have.  Apply them where they are to be applied.

With reading these Scriptures starting in this seventh year; is it not amazing how they can tell us what we will be doing in heaven after we are raptured!  We will probably hold our breath in awe, because we will be there.  We will see this scene and everything of what will take place throughout the remaining year, plus we will get to see when Michael and his Angels will war with Satan and his Angels for 3 ½ days in heaven.  Sometimes I think, “Yes, I do want to see it, and sometimes maybe I don’t”.  I am sure God will decide what we are to see.  Guess who will lose! This will be a time that no man will want to be on earth  when Satan is cast out of heaven.  His fury will be released on earth to the degree no one will want to be here.

Now notice, there is another angel with a sensor.  What is he doing?  He’s casting it to the earth.  To understand the meaning of why he would do this, one needs to go back in time when the Israelites wandered for 40 years in the desert.  At that time, their Temple was constructed of tents and portable fencing around them that housed their tabernacle.  When God presented Himself to them, it was as in a cloud.  In the inside was a sensor with burning coals of fire that filled the room of Holy of Holies.  It was sweet incense that ascended up to God which represented the prayers of the people.

The casting of this sensor upon the earth will be the prayers of the Saints that are under the altar, and all of those who have suffered because of these three evil spirits. After this takes place, Scriptures indicate there will be literal eruptions upon the earth like never before.  It will escalate so dramatically by the middle of this year, hailstones weighing a hundred pounds each will fall upon the earth.

Rev. 16:21 “And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.”

Remember how I told you what a volcanic eruption can do and what follows such an event?  Lightning then Hailstones?  Everything before it including man can be stripped in seconds from the force of it.  Now let’s go with the seven angels back to the first year that have been standing ready to blow their Trumpets.  One for each year.

Rev. 8: 1-6 “And the seven angels which had the seven Trumpets prepared themselves to sound.”

We just finished the last Seal and the book is now completely open and ready for the Trumpets.  So lets go back to the first year again and start with the Trumpets.
